Elaine Davies provided outstanding professional assistance as our Buyers’ Agent in the recent purchase of our property in Ashfield, a property which will suit us admirably for the rest of our retirement. Facing a sometimes turbulent and sometimes bleak market, she kept us informed of on- and off-market properties; elicited information from relevant authorities and developed a strategy for our successful property acquisition. Elaine took the stress out of the whole process.
When we recently moved to Sydney, after living overseas for 13 years, my husband and I knew we needed to find someone that we could trust…someone that had a good knowledge of the local market and could guide us, particularly around the inner west suburbs.
When we met Elaine, we knew immediately that she was the right person to help us through the process of buying our family home. The peace of mind Elaine provided was second to none. When the fear or hesitation crept in, she would take the time to explain the process, reassuring us at every turn which made the whole experience really easy.
Elaine’s expertise was invaluable in securing the right property in the right suburb for us. We believe her experience with people and her professional relationships that she’s forged over the years is a huge part of her success. We would definitely recommend and use Elaine’s services again in the future.
We needed a family home but having reunited, following a separation, we knew that emotions would run high throughout our family, including our 3 daughters. When we met Elaine we also knew she was the right buyer’s agent for us to work with.
Elaine held our hands respectfully and guided a clear path. We found that she worked inclusively at every level and never forgot to incorporate the wish list of all planning to live in the property she was seeking for us.
There was constant communication which is vital in the property market as circumstances can change rapidly with keen and cashed up competitive buyers to deal with.
Elaine does not work to a formula. Every property presents a very unique approach which is carefully considered and constructed. She handled all the hard work with speed, accuracy and professionalism. This left us to dream and enjoy the inspections.
We also found that Elaine has a reputation that preceded her. Any inspections we attended we asked for all communication to go through our buyer’s agent and when her name was mentioned, all real estate agents knew and were positive about her.
Being in the hands of a well respected female industry professional was the best decision we made.
As part of my job, I was tasked with assisting an elderly, wealthy man with purchasing a home. He not only was a double amputee but also had fairly advanced dementia. We bought Elaine on board as the buyer’s agent.
Elaine not only showed her immense skill as an advocate real estate expert but she also had lots of emotional and intellectual intelligence. This is a rare combination in any individual and made her stand out glowingly.
Just to let you know – it was Elaine who advocated for the elderly gentleman to remain in the magnificent nursing home, where he was being cared for at the best possible level, talking herself out of a fee. Elaine did this because it was in the best interest of this beautiful and vulnerable man. That’s who she is.
Requirements and search: I had only ever spoken to Elaine on the phone (I am based overseas) but it didn’t take more than 20-minutes to feel 100% confident that I would be in good hands. So when she quickly recommended that I consider an apartment in Bondi that she had sniffed out – a real “unique fixer upper”, I was happy to listen. Having been through the property buying lark before, it was clear that she had really done her homework on the flat, and I felt that with her proposed strategy, I stood a good chance of succeeding at auction.
Outcome: Elaine’s strategy – go in with a quick “shock and awe” bid right out of the blocks, to throw off the punters, and make clear she wasn’t going to let the property go (clearly telegraphing that she had room to move even higher), worked a treat. She had sized up the competition perfectly, and succeeded, securing the property at auction for much less than the maximum I was willing to bid.
Recommend: I would highly recommend Elaine’s services. She is sharp as a tack, has a great sense of humour, and is incredibly easy to work with. I secured a great flat in Bondi for well below market value, all down to Elaine’s great work.
Requirements and search: After searching the market for over a year and pursuing a number of different strategies including another buyers agent, we were exhausted. Our mortgage pre-approval was about to expire and being disillusioned with buyer’s agents we were apprehensive. After several phone calls with Elaine, any fears were overcome and we engaged Elaine to do a near impossible task. To purchase a tidy investment property, with a car space in nine days.
Outcome: Elaine’s professional and warm approach, can do attitude and most importantly consistent communication was a refreshing change. Within a week, she found a great “off market” unit and worked hard to buy it for us, under budget! She moved so quickly, that we beat another couple by a nose. We hadn’t seen the property but by now we had complete trust in Elaine’s capability and recommendation. When we finally saw it, we were extremely happy.
Recommend: This is testament to Elaine’s professionalism, skillset and capability to negotiate. We would have no qualms recommending Elaine’s service to anybody finding the Sydney house market too much. Or if they want somebody to get the job done in style.
